- It is
said that an average person has likelihood to spend an estimated
20,160 minutes kissing in their lifetime.
- Of
all the people in the world, 50% have their first kiss before
they are 14.

Kissing was never practiced in China, till the advent of the act
by the Westerners. They are still averse to it.

Kissing is said to have originated in India, a country once
known for its uninhibited and shameless display of erotic love and
sexuality. However the current scenario is such that kissing is a
private affair largely in the country and mostly even considered
taboo in the rural areas. India is the land where Kamasutra, the
treatise on lovemaking skills originated. It was a country where the
courtesans and whores entertained the rich maharajas and nobles with
different positions in sex and varieties of kissing techniques. The
country which was once known to have given birth to ‘kiss’ began to
put a veil over its face with changing times as the country was
faced with economic hardships and had to marshal its resources in
getting freedom from the British. Romance and casual eroticism in
the air took a back seat as shyness and protecting the modesty of
the woman became a predominant part of the culture. Now, with
modernism and media furore, the urbanites have broken free from the
shackles of conservative life and the romance and bold kisses have
come back in the movies and general life.

their noses for kisses. Seems that they had a nose for

on your face when you give a peck kiss but you use all of your
facial muscles and burn more calories during a passionate kiss.

Chile, the first record of the largest number of kisses in a
single day publicly took place in January where 4,445 couples
participated. The glory didn’t last long as the record was beaten
when 5122 Philippine coupes merged together at midnight and kissed
with enthusiasm on the Valentine’s Day of 2004.
- On
the same Valentine's Day 2004, an Italian couple kissed their
way into the record books with a 31-hour 18-minute Valentine kiss.
The couple beat the earlier record by 18 minutes and 33 seconds. The
man had to receive oxygen afterwards.
- The
World's Longest Kiss is upheld by Karmit Tsubera and Dror Orpaz, on
April 5. 1999 for a record 30 hours and 45 minutes to win a kissing
bout in Rubin Square, Tel Aviv, Israel. This point is debated by the
claims that the longest recorded kiss actually took place on January
28, 2002. Louisa Almodovar and Rich Langly of New Jersey has been
reported to kiss for a record 30 hours, 59 minutes and 27 seconds on
a segment of "Ricki Lake".

Serial kisser: On September 15, 1990, Alfred Wolfram from New
Brighton kissed 8001 people in just 8 hours, which averages to over
sixteen people a minute, at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
